Water tanks are a receptacle used for the storage of liquid. It is very important to keep water tanks clean because if they aren’t cleaned properly, impurities may be found in the water that can cause serious illnesses. This includes diarrhea, vomiting and high fever. Some of these illnesses can even be fatal. Keeping water tanks clean will eliminate these problems and make sure that the water is safe for drinking.
The first step in cleaning a water tank is to drain it. This can be done by opening the washout valve or tap that is located at the base of the tank. Be sure to drain the tank somewhere that will not lead to localized flooding or contamination.
Next, use a sponge or bristle brush to scrub the interior walls of the tank. Be sure to use a sponge that isn’t made of steel, as this could scratch the inside of the tank. You can also use a pressure washer to clean the inside of the tank. If you do this, be sure to hold the pressure washer about four feet away from the tank. This will be enough to spray the water without damaging the interior of the tank.
After scrubbing the tank, rinse it thoroughly using a power washer and water. Once you’re finished rinsing the tank, let it dry completely before refilling it with fresh water. Be sure to check the chlorine levels in the water after it’s refilled to be sure that it is safe for drinking. cleaning water tanks
