Whether you’re experiencing rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, or another form of the condition, CBD can help ease your knee pain and improve overall quality of life. CBD is an all-natural alternative to NSAIDs and other prescription medications for knee pain, and it can also provide a wide range of additional benefits like reduced stress levels and improved sleep health.
When applied topically, CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system in your skin to provide anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects. CBD can be used alone or in combination with other therapies for knee pain, such as ice packs, heat therapy, massages, or physical activity. However, it’s important to talk to your doctor before trying any new treatment. You may need to adjust your medication regimen or seek different therapies for better knee pain relief.
Our study surveyed participants who used CBD for pain from various types of arthritis and asked them to rate their pain on a numeric rating scale before and after using the drug. We also analyzed how the type of arthritis, dosage, and frequency of use of CBD affected the reported pain reduction. Compared to other medications, CBD was associated with higher percentage and point reductions in pain for all arthritis types studied. Additionally, those who reported taking other drugs but stopped or reduced them after starting CBD saw even greater pain reduction than those who continued to take their medications. We believe that this is a reflection of the overall safety and efficacy of the drug and is due to the way CBD interacts with the human body’s natural endocannabinoid system. best cbd for knee pain
